Late post today. I’ve been working all day long at my new favorite Starbucks downtown. Which brings me to “challenges”. What I’m faced with right now is balancing: drive time, blogging, and working. Lately I’ve been doing better on preparing the blog the night before so I can just post but since this is a living blog, I have to make time during the day–however little it may be. Figuring out the optimum time to work is tricky because as a software developer it takes about 30-45 min to really get into the rhythm of coding. So that’s almost two hours of “light” development. In other words, I need at least a three hour time gap to bang out some significant work. This is why most developers work during late night hours or keep headphones on. Most people are asleep or they avoid bothering you because of the headphones. Yes, we are intentionally avoiding you. No, I do not want to converse about anything other than solving current code bugs.
I’ll be in Seattle for one more full day then heading to Alberta, Canada!! Cannot wait for that. I reserved a camp site for Thursday right next to Lake Louise. It’s going to be epic. There’s no service there so I’ll record things and upload later.
